Problematic auction

Some months ago two contributors to this board both were interested in the same instrument.

One won the auction just to learn, that the inner tubings of the 5th piston were defect and/or missing.

The German seller was not very forthcomming until the second boarder was involved as an interpreter. Then the seller agreed to take back the instrument for a (delated) refund of the amount of the auction. But no refunds of shipping costs happened.

This learning experience could have ended here. But this very instrument has just recently been put up for auction again. There is no evidence that this mentioned major piston defect has been repaired. On the contrary: the minor defect of a missing piston stem and button still has not been remedied.
