T.J has a point here, The Kings can have a better sound...it just all depends on the osund you want. I think the King has a more tuba-like sound....nice and light.....while the Conn has that huge, WHOOF type sund to it....very airy and powerful. For playing louder, and having more bottom to the notes, (specially that low Eb....man!) I would go for the Conn, It may be heavier....but I've never had a problem with it. If you want a more light PUFF type sound, I would go with the King, whice are usually lighter. But my preference will always be the Conn 20K

P.S.
T.J, Didn't They get some new Kings? I've noticed how good they look....they look like new! I also heard that they had a few of the King Giant sousas.....any truth to that?
