I just wanted to let you all know about a free concert tomorrow (today, on the east coast!) near Los Angeles. Here's the specifics -
Pacific Brass Ensemble
"Music at Noon" concert at Biola University, Crowell Hall
Wednesday, March 27, 12:30pm - 1pm (not exactly at noon, but that's what they call it)
Program - Fanfare Stadt Wien - Strauss; Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Jupiter from the Planets - Holst; Silverado - Broughton.
Admission & Parking - Free!
The PBE is a great group made up of Los Angeles freelancers, conducted by Robert Feller (former principal trumpet of the Rochester Phil and winner of the Performer's Certificate at Eastman). Jim Self has worked closely with the PBE as a soloist and as a composer. Anyone who can come to this concert will not be disappointed.
