one memory....at a horn weekend a couple years ago, one of the performers took out one set of his valve slides, and put tubing on the "in" end in various lengths, with funnels on the ends of the three tubes. He had others standing in front of him on stage hold the funnels, and then played a piece.....if he pushed one of the valves that had tubing and a funnel, you can imagine the blatting noise aimed at the audience. We were all rolling on the floor!
