actually, at least one person passed the audition. he is currently a teacher at a prominent conservatory. he did not opt to attend because of the cost and because Mr. Deck offered to teach him privately.
but it is a very very difficult thing to get into the DM program there. the idea is that they accept absolute virtuosos, usually with some professional experience.
The cleveland institute has an excellent DMA program, but they have not accepted anyone to my knowledge.
