Occasionally, I find myself working with others who cannot play in the scale...an example: church engagements where members of the church are playing along side those hired.
I'll either try to match the pitches of the insensitive player(s) as much as I can or, if their pitches go in several directions, I'll simply "play" and abandon normal tuning compromise practices - sort of like digging a hole and filling it back in for pay - I guess.
