So far...the 182 is comfortable on my lap, and the 184 sits nicely on the chair. I might have to change the leadpipe angle a weensy bit, but that's all. I made a point of buying tubas that were an excellent ergonomic fit, to start with.
Now, getting the 184 backpack on....turned out to also be easy. I just sit it on the chair and the straps are exactly the height they need to be for me to put it on!
I do seem to lack the air supply to get notes below two-leger-line C to play FF, though. I seem to have about 1 second's worth of sound for 1 lungs-ful of air, so I'm not really all that sure about the future BAT.
