Hi Josh,

I just bought a 3050 myself. I wanted to ask you if you ever tried fingering the Db below the staff 523? That is what I use and it works just fine. I only knew about some of the alternate fingerings the Willson tubas like because I have played on a Willson Eb for about two years now and I have figured out most of them. On the Ev tuba it is the E natural that is sharp when played 24 or 123 and I use the 523 on the note for that horn. Also on my 3050 I use 3rd valve for the E natural which would normally be 12 and it brings it right in tune. I think it is a characteristic of these horns almost like they were designed to use the alternates instead. Maybe this will help the Willson F tuba player. I have not played a Willson F but maybe it will help.

Jim
