Remarkable post!!! A propos, FASHION: More than a century ago, French were the leading high society language and dinner habits, German the poems' and engineers' language, Italy and Austria played a major role in music culture. After WWII, things more and more changed.
The English language, Hollywood and it's specific definition of social rules, giantic pop music industries, silicon valley, and all the McBurgers took over as well as all the McMoneysack hardliners' philosophy, the inhabitants of ducksborough became cosmopolites,
... so, vive la difference: How right you are; let at least maintain a multi-cultural high level music landscape on the various continents, ... and last not least, let them survive: all the different kinds of tubas, since all their existence is justified.
