I think you should consider the 54J. This horn is a nice medium between the 52 and 56 ... big enough for the orchestra, not overpowering the quintet. I play a B&S horn and it is not as good as the Conns in my opinion. The open Gs are extremely out of tune and the horn is just not manufactured as well.
