Everybody is a "victim" at some point. Humor takes potshots at stereotypes, and lets face it, if they are going to have a tuba player in some sort of comedic capacity on Leno, then it has got to be someone who falls under one or more of the following:
They suck
They're REAL loud
They're fat
They're drinking
etc. etc. etc.
Life would be boring for many of us if all we did was play the horns. It is part of our identity to overcome many of these stereotypes. The challenge of surprising people and changing their minds is fun. How many times have we all heard this: "You're the best tuba/euphonium player I've ever heard. I had no idea that it could be played like that."
Sometimes it sucks to be the butt of a joke, but then, hey, we're STILL not saxophone players!
