Not to mention that there really is an active industry of companies who rebuild, refurbish, and refinish horns to like new. Check out Barodi, Taylor Music, Badger, Phillips, as well as Lee Stofer, Dillon's, Balto Brass and others who also handle used horns.

Matt at Dillons, Lee Stofer, and Dave Fedderly at Balto Brass are very knowledgable and helpful.

It would be a big help to know what kind of horns you played in the past, how you would use the horn, and what kind of tone you want - and then try out a bunch of horns.
