This is fun. I had just spent 925.00 having my Olds P16 ( bone..circa 1940's..octagonal slide ) overhauled..triple nickel plated and engraved from head to toe..this was in the late 60's..that was a lot of gunny back then..also, bought a new soft leather gig bag for my axe..I loaded my pickup w/ all my goodies and my favorite sofa..moving from New Orleans to Manhattan to take a long running pit gig. Not an hour out of town I stopped to pick up two girls hitchiking and they immediately jumped in the back, onto the sofa, and squashed my horn where I had foolishly left it.
