b.t.w., today the variables outside of your teacher,
(not the least of which is simply being in the right place at the right time on the right day) are weighted far more heavily than they were even ten years ago..
For example, twenty-five-some-odd years ago you could lityerally walk up to the auditions at SFO and play the V-W, whether or not the outcome there would be influenced by HOW you played the V-W is moot. Times have changed.
