That is why I mentioned orchestral players. Even though there are fine solo tubists today, I really don't listen to them much at all. I am a sound type of tubist. You hit the nail on the head. It is the DEPTH and UNIQUENESS of sound from the good orchestral tuba players that catches my attention.
