The old English receivers have a different tapor, so your Dennis Wick 2 might not fit properly either. If your 2L fits properly, but is just sticking too far out the end of the receiver, you may want to consider just having the shank turned down by a mechanic who knows what they're doing. There's plenty of meat on those D.W. shanks to do that with.
