Amazing Rick! I actually use an Arnold Jacobs Helleberg-type mpc right now. I got it from Terry Warburton when I first got my horn. It fits the horn and allows me to play up to my abilities, modest as they are.
My newly found tuba teacher has suggested that I try an mpc with a heavier wall in order to get a darker sound. So, I've been scouting out some alternatives. Who knows, I may just stay with the AJ. The darker sound may come from improved technique not the hardware.
