The mouthpiece will have a lot to do with your pitch quandry. It sounds like the 29 is a smaller mouthpiece (though I'm not familiar with it personally). Smaller mouthpiece=higher pitch in most instances. Try something with a more cup depth, like a Perantucci PT-36 or PT-88. I personally play on a PT-50, but that might be a little too big for the horn you're playing on and would give you the opposite problem. I personally play on a 5/4 horn, and it needs a little girth from a mouthpiece (although I was thinking of switching to a Laskey, but that's another post).

I'm sure you're aware, but you can get these models from the Brasswind, as well as Custom Music Co., Tuba Exchange, Dillon's....etc, etc.....
