I use my Willson for everything. It's the only "small" tuba I've used that I can manipulate to do what I want with different mouthpieces. Most will balk with a big mouthpiece, but not this one. I solo exclusively on this horn, play in brass band, quintet and have done some orchestra work as well. Expensive? Yes. Heavy? Yes. Worth it? I really think so. Good luck on your search!
