It is all a matter of motivation:

Start out re-writing all of our parts into the bass clef. You will very soon realise, that it is much easier to sight read the transposition, than it is to take the detour around pen and paper. (And no computers are not likely to help you).

The lingo for the fingering needed to read the BBb tuba parts is "trumpet fingering". If you have played trumpet in pre-dirt ages, that very likely will help you.
