Hi Mike,

I really enjoyed rehearsing with you today! My wife and I are looking forward to playing with Celebration Winds in future rehearsals and performances.

You may or may not have gotten a chance to see what horn I play on. I have a Conn 56J and it has an adjustable thumb ring that can be angled and positioned in a bunch of different ways. It is attached to a plate which is attached to one of the slides. It is not cushy and rounded like the Hirsbrunner and Willson thumb rings, but it works. :) As I understand it, your project horn is being built buy Dillon Music. You might want to ask him about having a Conn thumb ring installed. If you really want to get maximum comfort you might could get a Willson thumb ring added to the Conn plate. Just a thought :)
