The Conn Connstellation was the horn I used throughout high school. I took lessons (this was the 60s) from an old trombonist who insisted I use a Remington mouthpiece, which actually worked pretty well on the Conn. In college my instructor moved me to a Bach 61/2 AL. Now I'm playing a Yamaha 642 with an SM3, a setup much more tubalike than we ever would have thought 'right' for the horn and the parts back then.
