Wonderful recording. I wish the same folks would do a recording of Holst's the Planets with the same orchestra and recording rig. You need a fairly high resolution playback system, capable of excursions well into the sub-30hz range...and with amps that won't clip their brains-out in the loud, complex sections. The dynamic range on this CD is huge......this recording will give even the best 2-channel systems a good work-out. Also....check-out Zimmer's soundtrack to "The Thin Red line".....also very good in my opinion.
