My cimbasso is a Meinl-Weston. To my knowledge, it is the only 5 valve Eb cimbasso they've ever made. I guess you could call it a custom model but I tend to think otherwise. Meinl-Weston offers their F cimbasso with 5 valves but only 4 on their Eb. I'm guessing that the valve sections are probably interchangeable with maybe some minor tweaking. I ordered mine with 5 valves from the factory. The 5th is a long whole step configuration. Many thanks to Dave Fedderly and Baltimore Brass for making my acquisition of the horn possible. Dave's one of the best to work with! Dave set everything up with Meinl-Weston and offered me terms I could actually live with.
