Also try the Marcinkiewicz (I STILL can't spell this) H 1. It is relatively cheap (Bach/Schilke price), has a similar rim-style (flat/thin) to your Helleburg, but sounds and plays MUCH smoother. Try not to be too much of a money wuss (if you can afford not to be) when searching for a mouthpiece, and don't be afraid of being accused of being a Mouthpiece Collector, or Mouthpiece Geek while you are searching. Keep in mind that two or three of these mouthpieces costs about the same as one oboe reed shaper tip, and once oboe players buy the tips (steel forms for shaping cane), they STILL have to MAKE every reed, and decide whether or not they like the shaper tip. Of course, like mouthpieces, they are not-returnable.

Summary: Go ahead and spend some money to do a good search, as long as you ARE searching. It will pay off, if you are serious.

I hope that you find what you are looking for EARLY ($) in your search.
