Hello, I have noticed over the years that many of the old tubas, and baritones especially, that have the tuning slide in the lead pipe before the valve set seem to have many pitch problems. have you ever found this to be so? Or do you think it would be something else. We have a few newer instruments, student line instruments, here at my school though with the same design ( a 3/4 size Jupiter tuba and the new King 1140 and small king 3/4 size baritones I am not sure of the model number). They all seem to have some funky note somewhere whether it be a flat low Bb series or the flat fourth partial (D, Db, C, B etc.). ken k
