I can't seem to find a mouthpiece to compliment my 2165. I tried a Bach 7 for a while, and loved what it did for my low range, but I didn't feel it was even enough through all registers. Before that I used a Conn Helleberg, but I can't go back to that now that I know how my low range can sound with a different mouthpiece. I have also tried some Dillon mouthpieces, and they just are not for me.
Mr Bishop wants me to try some Doug Elliot parts, which I surely will, but I was wondering what other 2165 owners have had success with. I'm starting to think that I should be looking for something small, as the 2165/Bach7 combo proved to be overkill.
