I have an old (1904) Conn tuba that has been sitting untouched in an attic for about twenty years. What is the best way to go about gently resurrecting this horn? The valves are free and pretty smooth, and the slides all move. I'm planning to soak it in the tub and a thoroughly rinse it with the hose this afternoon. Any advice on how to get this old warhorse back on the bandstand would be appreciated. Thanks!
