In my own experience, the usual limiting factor to how deep a
mouthpiece you can use on an Eflat is intonation. Make sure that
the notes above the staff are not going flat. Bessons seem to be
more tolerant of deep cups than the Yamaha 321/381's. I'm assuming
that if you had to "settle" you did not get a Willson. I've had
very good luck with the Dilon F2. It combines a fairly large cup
diameter that helps down low, with a fairly shallow cup which gives
a nice ring up high. By the way, I know the PT-20 is the current
PT-50 but I can't ever recall seeing a PT-24. Does anyone know
which model it is in the current scheme?
