Hi, I notice that a lot of you guys know quite a bit about helicons. I'm thinking about purchasing one over e-Bay later this year after I save up $800 or so. What hints can you guys give me involving the buying of a helicon. The purpose of buying this horn would be to occasionally use in my high school marching band, plus I'm just looking to obtain a tuba of my own. I would greatly appreciate it if you guys would maybe tell me of your positive experiences with these vintage horns, because if I am not satisfied with the accounts, I will gladly invest in a sousaphone, which at the time is my true musical love.
