I'm getting on a plane to ITEC tomorrow (my first ITEC) and am wondering whether I should expect hassles from the airline (Northwest) about checking my tuba. Do you usually have to pay extra? If so, how much? Mine's a 3/4 Rudy Meinl in a wood case measuring roughly 44" long, 24" high, 12" wide (not counting bell flair). Thanks.
