-Oh yeah, forgot to say also that in very light pieces where you do oompas at moderato, staying in the upper octave is better than below low A.

-and this is sort of my tuba-nerd story. I played this arrangement of Star Wars for a full band arranged by some Japanese guy, and at the end of the Princess Leia theme ends on a biggy major A chord, and I played this fatty pedal A and it totally fit with style......hehehehe, sorry. A little tuba nerdism there.
