I use a OTC mouthwash named Peroxl. Basically, it is a hydrogen peroxide mouthwash that will help speed the sores by sterilizing and cleaning them. I highly recommend this stuff. It speeds the healing process to about two to three days. Best of all it is completely safe and makes your breath minty fresh! This is the advice I got from my dentist on the matter when I had some fairly bad sores.
