Actually Rick, the Keefer tubenstein, upon close examination turns out to have a Keefer bell on a York body (the ferrules are a giveaway) with a Conn short-stroke valve section. I'm beginning to wonder if the York proportions of the large branches aren't the big factor in these great-sounding hybrids. Certainly the CC I built on a York Monster Eb body has that same rich tone.

You can always say it "Nihil sub sole novum"; that way it doesn't sound trite; you sound like a snob and nobody knows what the heck you're gibbering about.
