I recommend you get Riki McDonnell's CD "Euphonium Songbook" and "Operatic Euphonium". These two CD's are my absolute favorites for euphonium music. I have 25 to 30 CD's and tapes of Steve Mead, Brian Bowman, Child's Bros. Earle Louder, Roger Behrend, a Japanese player (whose name I can't remember right now), and even Art Lehman. Riki has the best and darkest tone I've ever heard. Riki recorded these two on the Besson Sovereign with the large bore mpc receiver. He recently stepped up to the Prestige. Some folks say his vibrato is too wide, but I like it... especially with the lyrical pieces that he plays on these two CD's.

If interested, you can get these CD's from Bert Wiley of Bernel Music in Cullowee, N.C.
