Tubist can get more fundamental by using instruments in lower keys in order to avoid playing the fundamentals. I use the EEE side of my double tuba for that purpose. However, humans are not large enough to blow tubas large enough to sound like the longest pipe organs pipes. Another solution might exist through the use of frequency dividers and amplifiers. A tubist would play the parts in the bass clef staff and use the frequency divider and amplifier to provide low notes in almost any desired octave. One would have to use very good hi fi equipments to do the lowest notes and transport a lot of speakers around.
