It is not recommended that cats be thawed in the microwave. Often, the sudden internal heat might cause the cat to fracture, and severely so if the cat had been cryogenically frozen or stored in a container of dry ice or liquid nitrogen.

Great care must also be taken during the handling of the cat after freezing, and the fur becomes exceptionally brittle. An option that often works is encasing the cat in a block of water ice, which allows the cat to be moved and delivered with little fear of breaking off its hairs.

Cleaning the cat is usually not too difficult, as they do a very good job of cleaning themselves. Often the only cleaning that needs to be done is right at the back of its head. Using a brush to clear off excess fur is almost always needed, and can actually change the cost of the procedure.

Aligning a cat is, however, extremely difficult, if not impossible. No matter what the ownder might have tried, the cat will often adhere to its own political views. We have not figured out how it arrives at such opinions in the first place, since it is commonly believed that cats are illiterate; however, when presented with such material (for example, photos ranging from John Major to Mao Tse Tung, or rezoning legislation pending in Boise, ID), its attitude is disinterest, if not disgust. One can only imagine what a cat would express if it were able to speak or possessed a middle finger.
