What mouthpieces work well for you or A.J. in this setup? I assume by large-shank you mean bass-bone/ euph shank, and not an actual tuba receiver, right? Could one pull this mod off with a tuba receiver & F-tuba mpc as well? If memory serves right, the throats & cup volume aren't much different between a big bass-bone mpc & real small tuba mpc...

When trying euphs w/ the like of a 1G in the past, I've found the tone to be closer to what I was looking for, but at the sacrifice of pitch; was the main slide cut sufficient, or are there still some register flukes to deal with?

Please tell also, is yours or A.J's a Bydlo specialty horn, or have they been they used for some other works (opheclide stuff, for example)?
