I play bass bone and tuba about 50/50: Tuba in a brass quintet and bass bone in a big band/sacred orchestra. I have done so for close to 20 years now and can handle the switch pretty easily. I occasionally play tenor bone or euph, but my upper range and endurance leave a lot to be desired. I sometimes have trouble playing low notes on tuba right after playing bone if I happen to be doubling on the same gig, but I can usually go the other way without too much trouble.
