The San Antonio Sym. recently performed PICTURES
with Lee Hipp (prin. tuba) on the Bydlo solo.
I sure hope he wasn't being too "masculine" (your word),
because he sure sounded mighty musical to me.
Speaking of perfect Bydlo horns -- Lee used an Alexander
tenor tuba with an old (small shank) Eb mouthpiece. This
was a loaner from Matt Good (prin. tuba - Dallas Sym.)
I believe Matt purchased this horn through Dillon.
