As an amateur with a capital A, and not having played with a group since college, where I played tuba, doubling on baritone, I have the luxury of playing what ever I want. The classical guitar is my main toy, the tuba is better then ever. I am taking lessons on the cello which is the hardest thing I have done musicaly. My collection of instruments numbers over thirty, covers penny whistles and recorders to a small grand piano; range from domestics to exotics, (ie sitar, erho), and are "play well" to "not played yet",(erho needs new hair on it's bow). Last years Tuba Christmas was the first time I had played in a large group in years. I will play the cello along with some other parents as we join our kids for thier last concert this year. They won't let me come in Clown. Maybe I can sneak my nose flute in.
