If you have access to a car and can travel a bit then do yourself a favor and get up to Baltimore a few times and study with Dave Fedderly. He comes highly recommended as a teacher by many. His methods are strickly that of which he picked up from Mr. Jaocbs over the many years he spent by his side. His number is on the Baltimore Brass web page.
If you do not have time or a way to get up that far then I would make one other suggestion to get some lessons with Pete Dubeau(Virginia Symphony principal tuba). Pete is a fantastic player from Michigan. Pete has also spent a lot of time with Mr. Fedderly.
I do not have his number at the time but you might be able to get it through the symphonies head office.

Good Luck
