Hope that's not definitive (as I know you are close to UMI). At the New York Brass Conference for Scholarships, I spoke about the possibility of a 5 valve version (based on the 5th valve configuration of the 52/56J) with Steve Dillon. Steve said he had spoken with UMI management at the Hanover/Frankfurt?? Messe shortly before about a 5 valve version of the King and that he believed that at least some horns would be made up with a 5th valve option. As the owner of a 4 valve King 2341 (detachable bell), I would definitely upgrade to the new horn in 5 valves, but I'm not so sure I'd upgrade for the 4 valve.
