I agree with Andy. I used a Bach 18 on a 982 for years, but wish I'd had my Shilke 69C4 then (I've since sold the 982). I wonder whether it would have suited the horn?
Previously, I also used a DW2L and 3L...What didn't you like about the Wicks?
BTW, mouthpiece express seems to have about the cheapest price on Bach 18s, and they are relatively quick to deliver to Australia.
