I just re-read my original post and realized that I said "Sta-silv" when I meant "Sta-Brite". The other stuff is hard solder and not what you want to use.
Another little trick for doing "Bondo" type repairs is brass plating over silver-solder patches. Caswell Plating (http://www.caswellplating.com) sells a 2-solution brass plating kit that will allow you to brush-plate brass over silver solder, just before you put the lacquer on. Strictly cosmetic, but hey, why not?
