Greetings,

I consider myself more of a conducting student than a tubist. In fact, I am entering graduate school this fall for conducting.

I have been in ensembles with many different conductors, and I have found that there are many worth their salt. Among these are Tapia (UMich), Sedatole (UTex), Wakefield (UOK).

I have sat in on several different rehearsals and have had the opportunity to observe Reynolds, Fennell, Missal, and Junkin.

I like each of these conductors for different reasons. The out and out knowledge of Reynolds, The amazingness of musicality from Fennell, the energy of Junkin. I really can't pick a favorite. IMO it is always a learning experience to watch any conductor work a band. Either to find things to do right or things not to do.
