Of the 6 times I've seen the JSU Marching Band live, "Loud" is indeed one of the two descriptive terms that came to mind regarding their tuba section. The other term was "horridly out of tune". Maybe it was the horns, maybe it was the players, maybe it was none of the above, but I've been to tuba xmas's before with far more than 26 tuba players, and far less intonation problems.
