I have a Pro-Tech/Pro-Pac sousaphone gig bag. It is nicely padded and well made. My only complaint is that it is awkward to carry unless you use the backpack straps. It has two handles on the edges, but no shoulder strap or handle on the side like on the sousaphone cases I have seen and used. An alternative is the SKB sousaphone case. It is nearly as light as a gig bag and easy to handle. It's a lot easier to handle than the wooden Conn case that came with my used 20K. That must have weighed over 50 lbs by itself. I think that my gig bag cost around $170 and the SKB case is just over $200.
