Let's get one thing very clear here. If it could be shown that Disney has a pattern of laying off employees just before they vested in a retirement plan, then Disney would be considered in violation of federal laws which require only prima facie evidence. It is illegal to lay off employees because they are about to become vested in a benefit plan.
So, if Disney were actually doing this, they surely would have been in court by now.
