You people need a grammar lesson. If the original poster wanted to know the "throwing range" of a Courtois, the subject would have read "Courtois Tuba's Range" not "Courtois Tuba Range". As Ken said, this sort of crap has been occurring a lot of late. I'm tired of logging on this BBS for some informative reading, and all I get is a bunch a wise guys clogging up the board thinking this is some sort of comedy forum. If you don't have anything informative, or truly funny to add....piss off.

On that note, Courtois tubas in general have a much lighter sound and response than Bessons for instance. To pick them up, they feel lighter. Whether it is a different alloy of brass they use, or a different gauge of metal, I don't know.
